Display Blank or Black

This article provides troubleshooting steps to take if the Side UX display is fully blank or black.

 

Step 1

Shutdown the Kiosk and Side UX

Press and hold the circular power button on the back of the kiosk for 3-5 seconds Unplug the power cable on the back of the kiosk Switch the red power switch to the OFF (O) position on the back of the Side UX Unplug the power cable on the back of the Side UX

 

Step 2

Reseat Side UX HDMI & USB Cables

Reseat the Side UX HDMI cable found on the back of the kiosk by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in Reseat the Side UX USB cable found on the back of the kiosk by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in

💡 HELPFUL TIPS:

• If you have a second display and are unsure of which HDMI or USB cable leads to the Side UX, reseat all cables just in case!
• Try plugging the Side UX HDMI or USB cables into alternative empty ports

 

Step 3

Turn on Kiosk and Side UX

Switch the red power switch to the ON (I) position on the back of the Side UX Plug the Side UX power cable back in Plug the kiosk power cable back in Press and release the circular power button on the back of the kiosk
