This article goes into depth about the customer ordering flow within the Byte tablet.
Tap Screen to Begin
Customers will begin their order by tapping on the screen.
Select a Category or Station
Customers can now make their choices for their orders. If you are interested in learning more about how to add / edit stations within Creator, please see Building Stations in Creator.
Browse and Select Items
Customers can tap on the items displayed or search for products using the search field at the top of screen. They can also scan a barcode at this stage.
Customize and Add to Checkout
Once a customer selects an item, they can customize their order by choosing different options and adding notes. Once they have made their selections, they can press "Add to Cart". If you would like to learn more about editing Option Groups, please see Building Stations in Creator.
Review Order or Add More Items
Customers can continue to add items to their order or if they are finished, they can press "Place Order" to begin the payment process.
An item can be easily removed from the order by tapping the X to the right of the item name, followed by Remove. Customers can press Cancel if they choose to keep the item in their cart. |
Completing the Order
Once the order has been completed, customers will take their QR code receipt and make their payment at the Mashgin kiosk.
💡 Notice the status bar at the bottom of the screen. The app will automatically return to the original ordering page once this time expires.
