Kiosk Lite Manager Overview
The Kiosk Lite Manager app allows you to run updates, install required drivers, perform initial set up, as well as start and stop the Byte app.
- START: Tapping this button will open and start the Byte application.
- STOP: This button will stop all Byte processes and close the application. This serves the same function as the "Quit" button within the Byte settings.
- GET REMOTE ID: Tapping this button will produce a unique remote ID that will be needed for Mashgin Support to access the tablet remotely. You will need to press this button after installation / upgrade to acquire one. Once it is acquired, you can find it within the Byte Main Menu screen. This unique ID changes only when ubuntu gets re-installed, and SHOULD NOT be given out to anyone outside of Mashgin Support.
- INITIAL SETUP: This button will guide you through an initial set up of the Byte application.
- INSTALL: This is to be used by Mashgin Support only.
- UPDATE: This button will fetch any required updates for Byte, including drivers for approved peripherals only. If you're unsure about your peripherals (i.e. printers, scanners etc.) being approved to work with the Byte app, please send us an email to help@mashgin.com.
