This article details the various printer rule configurations within Byte Order Mode.
Kitchen Receipts
If you do not have a KDS system tablet, you should create a printer rule for the printer(s) set up in the kitchen(s) to print out order receipts for your chefs to refer to. If you do have a KDS system tablet, leave this blank. In those instances, kitchen order receipts will be displayed on the KDS tablet instead and any printer rules for kitchen orders should be configured on that tablet. Please see Kitchen Mode Printer Rules for more information.
You can determine which station(s) will print to specific printer(s). Here are a couple examples:

Customer Receipts
Byte's default user experience requires customers to pay at the Mashgin kiosk. That means a receipt with a QR code will automatically print and they can take the receipt to pay on a kiosk. Therefore, this setting will need to be toggled on. Please see the Receipts Settings article for more information on how to toggle this feature. Since a QR code will need to print for the customers to use, a "Customer + QR" printer rule must be configured for this setting to function properly.
