This article will guide you through the most common Kitchen Mode setup for your Byte tablet when your location receives only mobile orders.
🚨 Before you begin, please read through the following articles and check that you are familiar with and have completed all of the requirements:
Choose Mode
The Byte app defaults to Order Mode. Toggle "Kitchen Mode" on. You will notice the background turns a bit darker to indicate you are in Kitchen Mode.

Display Orientation
The Byte app defaults to a landscape orientation. If you would prefer portrait mode, please toggle "Portrait Mode" on within "Screen" settings. For more details, please see Screen Settings.

Printer Rules
Incoming Orders
Incoming orders are displayed within Kitchen Mode automatically, however you can also have the orders print out as well. If you would like for kitchen staff to receive a printed ticket for the incoming orders, set up an printer rule detailing which stations will go to which printers.
Customer Receipt
Since your location is receiving mobile orders only, you will not need to create a customer receipt printer rule. If you are receiving both tablet and mobile orders, take a look at the this article instead within Common Setups!

Select Stations
Then, choose which stations this tablet will accept orders from. We recommend setting this to "All" if the tablet will be used in a kitchen that prepares items from all stations. For more details, please see Select Stations Settings.
Accept Orders From Mobile / Tablet
Since your location has only mobile ordering as an option, you will want to make sure that "Mobile" is selected within the "Accept Orders From" section. For more details, please see Accept Orders From Mobile / Tablet Settings.
