Display Unresponsive Touch

This article provides troubleshooting steps to take if the Side UX display is not responsive to touch.

 

Step 1

Shutdown the Kiosk and Side UX

Press and hold the circular power button on the back of the kiosk for 3-5 seconds Unplug the power cable on the back of the kiosk Switch the red power switch to the OFF (O) position on the back of the Side UX Unplug the power cable on the back of the Side UX

 

Step 2

Unlatch Back of Side UX

Use the silver latch on the back of the Side UX to open the cover and view the USB connections inside

 

Step 3

Reseat Display Touch USB Cable

1. Look for a USB cable inside of the Side UX labeled "Display Touch"
2. Reseat the cable by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in

💡 HELPFUL TIPS:

• Try plugging the Display Touch USB into a different USB port
• Try to space out the USB cables inside of the Side UX, keeping an empty USB port in between each cable (as seen in the photo above)

 

Step 4

Turn on Kiosk and Side UX

Switch the red power switch to the ON (I) position on the back of the Side UX Plug the Side UX power cable back in Plug the kiosk power cable back in Press and release the circular power button on the back of the kiosk
