Display Flickering / Half Screen

This article provides troubleshooting steps to take if the Side UX display is flickering or if only half of the screen is visible.

 

Step 1

Shutdown the Kiosk and Side UX

Press and hold the circular power button on the back of the kiosk for 3-5 seconds Unplug the power cable on the back of the kiosk Switch the red power switch to the OFF (O) position on the back of the Side UX Unplug the power cable on the back of the Side UX

 

Step 2

Reseat Side UX HDMI Cable

Reseat the Side UX HDMI cable found on the back of the kiosk by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in

💡 HELPFUL TIPS:

• If you have a second display and are unsure of which HDMI cable leads to the Side UX, reseat both HDMI cables just in case!
• Try plugging the HDMI cable into the other empty HDMI port

 

Step 3

Turn on Kiosk and Side UX

Switch the red power switch to the ON (I) position on the back of the Side UX Plug the Side UX power cable back in Plug the kiosk power cable back in Press and release the circular power button on the back of the kiosk
