Sound Not Working

This article provides troubleshooting steps to take if the kiosk is not making any sounds during the transaction checkout process.

Step 1

Check that the Sound is Turned Up

Access Manager Mode Press "Sounds" Ensure the volume is not turned all the way down by pressing the + symbol You can also play a test sound through this page to check speaker functionality as well

 

Step 2

Power Cycle Kiosk and Side UX

  • If the sound is still not working after a full power cycle, please continue on to Step 3 ⬇️

 

Step 3

Reseat Speaker Cables

The speakers are located inside of the kiosk, therefore the back plate needs to be removed in order to reseat them Using a standard Phillips-head screw driver, remove the six screws on the back of the kiosk and take off the back plate
Above the MPU, you should see two speakers fastened to the inside components Attached to the speakers is one USB cable and one auxiliary cable The auxiliary cable should be plugged into the green circular port Reseat both cables and ensure they are firmly plugged back in

 

Step 4

Power Cycle Kiosk and Side UX Again

• Now that the cables have been reseated, go through the power cycle process once more
