How to Install a CSR Scanner

Prepare your CSR Scanner for operation with this simple step-by-step guide.

 

Step 1

Unbox Your CSR Scanner

Carefully remove the CSR Scanner from its box and packaging. Inspect the scanner to confirm that there is no physical damage

 

Step 2

Connect the CSR Scanner

Connect the Scanner USB cable to the designated port on the back of the kiosk, which is the third USB port below the ethernet port. Ensure you hear a beep and see a red light on the scanner, indicating it is connected and powered on.

 

Step 3

Program CSR Scanner 

1. You must program the scanner with specific barcodes/QR codes to scan State IDs.

Step 4

Test the CSR Scanner

1. Ensure the scanner is functioning properly by scanning a random item with a barcode.
2. Test the scanner's ability to read IDs by verifying an age-restricted item.
