Here's everything you need to know about Day Parts (also called item availability)!
What is a Day Part?
Day Parts (or item availability) are pre-made meal times that allows for items to only be checked out during a certain time of day. You are able to create as many unique day parts as you'd need, as long as the availability time slots do not overlap.
How can I view the Day Parts for my items?
In order to view the Day Part for a specific item within Creator, simply navigate to the item you are looking for and pull up the item editor. The Day Part associated with the item can be found next to the item's price within the item editor. If you are unsure how to pull up the item editor, please see How to Edit Existing Menu Items for more details.
In order to view all of the items with specific Day Part associations within your menu, navigate to Creator and click Day Part in the top bar. Select which day part you would like to view and the menu will refresh and show you each item that has that specific day part association. How can I update the Day Part / Availability for my item?
In order to update the Day Part associated with specific menu items, you will need to navigate to the item editor within Creator. If you are unsure how to pull up the item editor, please see How to Edit Existing Menu Items for more details. Read below for more information regarding changing the day part associated with an item:
- Click dropdown box within the Availability section (next to the item's price)
- Choose the Day Part that you would like for the item to be available to be checked out
- Items default to being available All Day
- Please Note: Only one day part can be associated with each item. If you'd like for the item to be available for multiple day parts, you will need to create duplicates of that item that have different day part associations.
- Press Save in the bottom right corner to save these item changes
