How to Import a Menu in Creator

This article shows you step-by-step instructions on how to import a menu in Creator.

💡 When importing a menu, your file will need to be in .csv format. Please ensure to continue reading the entire guide before importing your file.

Step 1

Navigate to Creator

 

Step 2

Click on 'Import Menu' under Menu Transfer on the left-hand sidebar

Tip: You will need to scroll down a bit on the left hand menu!

 

Step 3

Verify that your .csv file contains the specific column names highlighted below Proper column naming is essential for a successful import

🚨 Note: The 'id' column is critical as it corresponds to your Mashgin Item ID #. Ensure that this ID remains unchanged for existing items to avoid duplicates during import.

 

Step 4

Click the 'Browse' button to upload a .csv file, then click the 'Preview Import' button to review the data

 

Step 5

Confirm the import details are correct on the preview screen, then click 'Apply Changes'

🚨 Note: For immediate updates on the kiosk, select 'Sync DB'. Otherwise, the changes will sync within 5-10 minutes

 

Step 6

To confirm your upload was successful, do not refresh or close your browser until you get the following pop-up below
