Windcave is a payment gateway that utilizes Ingenico card readers.

Customer places item(s) on the base of the kiosk. | |
Customer uses credit / debit card or tap to pay on the Ingenico reader in order to complete transaction. |
Requirements
- Confirm with Mashgin Support that the payment credentials are in place.
Installation
- Confirm with Mashgin Support you are on-site before plugging in the payment device.
- Be careful not to plug in the Windcave card reader before Mashgin Support gives clearance during the installation process as doing so will destroy the reader.
- Once instructed, navigate to Manager Mode > Advanced > Windcave > Install
- After installation completes, plug the Windcave reader into the USB port located directly underneath the power button.
- The reader will initially show a “Wait for Connect” screen.
- Once the reader is recognized by the Kiosk, it will now show the following message: “Wait for Init”, which means the reader is attempting to connect to the Windcave servers for activation. This message should go away within about 5 minutes.
- If the message stays on the screen for longer than 5 minutes, you may need to reboot or power cycle the reader to restart the init process.
- Once reader has been successfully initialized, the screen will now say "Windcave".
- Perform a test transaction to confirm successful installation. If you run into any issues, notify Mashgin Support at help@mashgin.com.
