How to Set Up a Scale

This article show you step-by-step instructions on how to set up a Brecknell 6702U scale. 

Step 1

Review Package Contents

Step 2

Unpack the Scale

The Scale should come with these accessories

1. Scale
2. Indicator Display
3. Power Adapter (Not Needed for Mashgin)
4. Miscellaneous & Assembly Tools

Step 3

Remove the shipping Screws

• Flip the scale upside down and, using the provided wrench, start by removing the shipping screw. 

Step 4

Level Scale

• Place the scale in it's final location and view the level bubble located under the top platform. 

• Level the scale base by twisting the four leveling feet.
• Once leveled, apply the "Weigh Here" sticker to the base plate. 

Step 5

Connect peripherals

• The display indicator can be plugged on the outside or inside connectors. 
  • Ensure that the cables don't touch the bottom of the scale as it can affect the scale. 
• The USB cable will power and connect the scale to the Kiosk. 

Step 6

Connect Scale and Test

• Connect the scale to the USB port located directly below the last HDMI port.
• Next, log into Manage Mode and navigate to Advanced > Devices. Test the scale’s connection to the kiosk by placing an object on the scale.
